In a rondel of silver, two palm trees and large and small leafy shrubs shade a lion sitting on his haunches. Replete with furry mane and fluffy tail, the surfaces are engraved with texture realistically depicting the steamy, hot environs.

Around the edge of the circle are orbs or cannonballs of silver with twisted wire and shepherd's hook ear wires from 1879 made in Birmingham, England.
